This beautiful 19th-century property combines the coveted architectural features of Mérida’s magnificent colonial homes with the stylistic elements of the glamorous haciendas of the time. It was last extensively renovated in 2012 and in this context was awarded the prestigious Icon Award for the best historical renovation by Architectural Digest (AD).

Behind the 24 m (79 ft) wide, impressive colonial facade hides a spacious mansion with an inner garden as well as an extensive pool and garden area. One master bedroom on the upper floor offers, in addition, a great wooden terrace with an outdoor shower and views over the interior garden.

Besides the lavishly renovated historic main house, the aforementioned expansive pool and garden area is another attraction of this property. Surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants, the shapely pool invites you to swim, the sun loungers to linger and the bar to enjoy fresh cocktails. The filigree columned facade of the main house and the bar area at the rear is already eye-catchers during the day. The soft light of the late evening sun combined with the spectacular outdoor lighting further lends a deeply romantic ambiance to this peaceful spot.
